Data You Provide
When you use a search box, the name, phone number, or address you enter is sent to the third-party provider that supplies the sponsored results. We do not save a separate copy of those searches on our own servers. If you contact us, we receive the details you choose to send and use them to respond.
Data Collected Automatically
Our hosting systems create ordinary server logs, including IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps. We review that information in aggregate to maintain the site, diagnose problems, and understand which Brea records pages visitors use. Cookies or similar technologies may be used for basic analytics and, where applicable, advertising measurement.
What We Do With This Data
We use the information above to operate the site, fix technical issues, measure traffic, and improve pages. We do not sell a visitor list or build individual user profiles.
Links to Other Websites
This site links to Brea, Orange County, California, library, archive, and third-party search resources. Each outside site has its own privacy policy, and information you submit there is controlled by that site's rules rather than ours. Sponsored search results are also supplied by a third-party company.
Who Might See Your Data
Hosting and support providers process server logs for us. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. We may disclose information if valid legal process requires it; otherwise, we do not share visitor data.
How We Protect Your Data
The site is delivered over an encrypted connection. Server logs are kept only as long as needed for the purposes described here. Because this site has no user accounts, it does not maintain a password-protected profile for you.
Users Under 18
This site is not directed at children and is intended for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has submitted personal information to us, contact us and we will delete it.
Your Data Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or limit certain personal data held by a website. California privacy sources include the CCPA/CPRA framework and the Delete Act, including the California Privacy Protection Agency's data-broker registration and DROP deletion-request system. Because we hold very little, most requests are narrow: we can check our contact mailbox and server logs and remove what we find when appropriate. Use the Contact page to make a request. Public records held by the City of Brea, Orange County, or California agencies are outside our control; requests to remove or correct those records must go to the custodian office. Public-record access itself is governed by the California Public Records Act, Gov. Code Title 1, Division 10, sections 7920.000 et seq.
Updates to This Policy
If this policy changes, the revised version will appear on this page. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the current policy.
